Malmesbury has a thriving carnival, which takes place in the last two weeks of August, with the finale procession through the town held on the first Saturday in September. It has grown in recent years to now include more than 30 events, ranging from music events to an attempt on the world record for the largest pillow fight.
Brokenborough is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 173. The village is situated very close to the county boundary with Gloucestershire (which follows the disused path of the Fosse Way), and is two miles north of Malmesbury in Wiltshire, and four miles south of Tetbury in Gloucestershire. The Tetbury Avon, also known as the Ingleburn, flows to the west of the village.
There are four Christian places of worship. St James' parish church is behind Market Hill. Both the Catholic church and the Congregational chapel are on Wood Street, and the new Community Church is accessed directly from the main shopping street. There is also a small but active BahÃ¡´Ã group in the town.
Although connected to the Birmingham-Bristol 'Cross Country' mainline only two miles away, Worcester is not served by Inter City Cross Country services therefore making Worcestershire the only county in England where Inter City Cross Country services pass through but do not stop in during normal scheduled timetables. The proposed station, Worcestershire Parkway is expected to end this.
Wadborough has one public house, the Masons Arms . The village has one bus service, the 382, which runs between Pershore and Worcester, once an hour in both directions.
